BIO:

Eliane Morel is Sydney writer/actor/singer, graduate of the NIDA writers’ program and the Canberra School of Music, currently principal Mezzo with ‘Sydney’s favourite boutique opera company’, Opera Bites, and writer of ‘The Cabbage Patch Kid’(Griffin Theatre), ‘There was no Frog (The Performance Space), solo shows ‘An Evening with Madam Long’ (The Performance Space) and ‘Ba Ngoai’ (4A Theatre). ‘Disenchanted’, her first cabaret, debuted at the Sydney Fringe in 2018, toured the South Coast of NSW in 2019, went digital in 2020 at the Melbourne Fringe and won three awards in 2021 (Best Show Newcastle and Dubbo Fringes and Best 18+ Show, Young-Howze awards). She has also teamed with Daryl Wallis to create ‘Carmen the Cabaret’, which debuted at the Adelaide Fringe this year. Most recently, she played Maria in Joanna Weinberg's new musical, La Luna.

BIO:

Daryl is a composer, sound designer, keyboard musician, vocal coach and musical director. He has composed music for Belvoir, Ensemble, Griffin, Merrigong, Studio, ATYP, Monkey Baa, CDP, Milkcrate, Karnak and Siren Theatre Companies. As musical director his credits include many cabaret performances and musicals – notably the  work of Stephen Sondheim for the Lyric Theatre Company including productions of Assassins, Passion, Pacific Overtures, Follies, Marry Me A Little and Sunday In The Park With George, High Society (Hayes Theatre) and The Last Five Years (Ensemble). He has worked as musical director on cabarets with Mitchell Butel (Killing Time, Excellent Adventure, And Now For The Weather, Croon Tunes), Jenny Vuletic (Balken After Midnight, Corporate Piggery, Tennessee and Me), Russ Vickery (Another Closet), Eliane Morel (Disenchanted), Pamela Shaw (Take A Bite), Michelle Collins (The Little Aussie Battleaxe) and Meow Meow (The Burlesque Hour: Glory Box Edition) Jacqui Dark (Jacqui Dark is alive and well and living in Newtown) and Strange Bedfellows (Jacqui Dark and Kanen Breen) in Under The Covers, Bedlam and the Christmas Cabaret, Prancer and Vixen.
