A LITTLE PREVIEW VIDEO

BIO: Mark Trevorrow he/him

Mark discovered theatre, cabaret and comedy in 1980, co-founding cabaret group THE GLOBOS (1980-1987). He created his comic alter ego BOB DOWNE in 1984 (while coincidentally working as a writer and arts editor at VOGUE Australia), went solo with the character in 1987 and have worked continuously ever since, performing self-devised one-man shows in theatres and cabarets, along with extensive corporate presenting, and starring in several TV series in Australia and the UK. In between, He has also presented as myself on ABC Radio and TV, and acted in TV and films - including a recurring character in KATH & KIM.

BIO: Rupert Noffs he/him

Rupert is a NIDA graduate and Sydney Conservatorium of Music drop-out. Rupert first fell in love with the music of Sondheim at age 16 when he performed “Being Alive” at The Sydney Opera House for his school graduation. The following year, he scored the role of Tony in West Side Story, when he should’ve been studying for his HSC. In 2001, during his time at the Conservatorium, he was cast as ‘Jack’ in Sondheim’s ‘Into The Woods’ at The Seymour Centre. Rupert has played the on-screen son of Jacki Weaver for MTV, and the Nephew of Bob Downe in both Sydney and San Fransisco. Whilst running his restaurant, The Lucky Bee, in Downtown Manhattan - with his husband and partner of 20 years - Chef Matty Bennett, Rupert wrote and performed sold out shows at Joes Pub with New York Cabaret legend, Amber Martin. In its opening week, The Lucky Bee was featured in The New York Times, The New Yorker and Womens Wear Daily. It garnered a celebrity following including Sir Salman Rushdie, Barbra Streisand and Rufus Wainwright. Rupert and Matty continue to operate The Lucky Bee which is now located on the Central Coast. Most recently, Rupert was a featured judge on Seven’s hit talent show, “All Together Now”. He has performed two sold out cabaret shows at Claire’s Kitchen and is thrilled to be singing Sondheim once again with his old friend and Aussie icon, Mark Trevorrow.
