Back in Australia after 10 years in New York, Alexis returns to Sydney with songs and stories from the Big Apple and more. A brand new show celebrating global connections and the things that make us feel at home.

A proud Sydney-sider by birth, Alexis is a graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. After earning a Helpmann nomination for her performance as "Young Dusty" in Dusty she went on to star in some of Australia’s biggest musicals. Favourite credits include “Spiderwoman" in the Australian premiere of Kiss of the Spiderwoman, “Marianne" in Shout!  and “Lil" in Troupers for the Sydney Theatre Company, alongside Barry Otto.   Alexis relocated to New York City in 2008 and performed extensively in cabaret and off-Broadway theatre. She was awarded the New York Music Theatre Festival’s “Next Broadway Sensation” title and made her solo debut at 54 Below. Club Glebe Stern, her one-woman musical set in Berlin 1933  made it’s US debut at the 2014 New York Musical Theatre Festival where Alexis was awarded ‘Outstanding Individual Performance’ at the festival’s Excellence Awards. Since then she has performed two more solo shows, Boychiks of Broadway and most recently Amy Winehouse: Resurrected in a double bill with Amy’s father, Mitch Winehouse.  Back in Australia semi-permanently, Alexis is thrilled to present an evening of music at Claires.
