Seven years ago Ant Sandler left Sydney for London. A couple of things have changed since then. He ate his way through Europe and even made an impression on the Queen. After returning home and hiding in his room for most of Covid, he's back performing with pianist Chris King . Tonight he'll share with you some stories of his time away, coming home, and a few of his favorite songs.

Bio:

Anthony Sandler

Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, and raised in Sydney, Australia, Anthony began his career performing in stage and University productions, including "Anything Goes" as Billy Crocker. After he graduated he wrote, directed, and produced two Fringe plays, that played to sold-out audiences and received great reviews.

In 2015 he won the McDonald ‘Sydney Eisteddfod Senior Singer of the Year’ and moved to the United Kingdom to study Musical Theatre at the Guildford School of Acting. While there he performed in "Carousel" and the European premiere of “First Date – The Musical”.

He lived in London for another two years to continue his training, before returning home to Sydney. During the first lockdown, he and a friend opened an online Basque cheesecake business, Black Cream, which has quickly become known as one of Sydney's best cheesecakes and last year released their Chocolate Cheesecake in collaboration with Gelato Messina.
