PAT & OLIVIA: GLAMOUR AND SONG

In August the world lost one of its brightest stars, with the death of Olivia Newton-John. She was adored far and wide for her passionate advocacy, her generosity, and her glorious voice.

Her early career was guided by her best friend and singing partner Pat Carroll. They charmed their way into Australian lounge rooms before setting off to take 1960’s London by storm. And that was just the beginning…

Most people are familiar with Olivia’s career, but what happened to Pat? Today is the day to tell Pat’s story, through the music written and produced by her husband, (and Olivia’s frequent collaborator), John Farrar. Featuring such favourites as ‘Have you never been mellow?’, ‘I honestly love you’, ‘Physical’, and many more.

Pat & Olivia: Glamour and song is a joyous celebration of the love and enduring friendship between a pair of jolly dolly birds.

Deborah Caddy began her professional performing career in 1994 when she joined the Australian production of The Phantom of the Opera as Swing/Madame Giry cover. Since then she has performed in numerous other Phantom tours, travelling both interstate and overseas.

She also appeared in the Australian tour of Opera Australia’s My Fair Lady, directed by Dame Julie Andrews.

For State Opera South Australia she has performed the roles of Elle in La Voix Humaine, Frasquita in Carmen, Berta in The Barber of Seville, and Flora in La Traviata.

She is a founding member of SINGular Productions and has appeared in their productions of I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change, and Different Fields, as well as creating the role of Ellen Page in the staged workshop of their original opera Innocence.

This is her second cabaret show. She previously created Have you met Miss Jones? for the Adelaide Cabaret Fringe Festival in 2016.
