GlamourPussy and the Hip Replacements:

Direct from the Fringes of Fame, and the Traralgon Bowls Club end of season windup comes the irrepressible GlamourPussy. Dressed for success and ready to embark on her mission to spread the good word as she sings of the glamour and joys of post-menopause: when a girl finally gets her body, her mind and her life back after the lost years in hormone hell. The glorious Puss used to sing with confidence, now she’s singing with Poise and putting the sex back into Bex (with a cup of tea, asn good lie down).

Supported by her spritely duo, The Hip Replacements, the show features well worn favourites, original songs as well as rewritten classics. She's vintage, she's retro, and here she is: refurbished, resurfaced and with a new paint job. She's a sassy combo of Miss Piggy, Joan, Bette, Moira with a t a dash of Cher (in that leather body thong thingy if she can source one).

Audience dress code: mutton dressed as lamb. (Or lamb dressed as mutton - you choose!)

Naomi Eyers stars as GlamourPussy..and it’s been decades in the making. She has travelled the world with The Fabulous Singlettes & Women with Standards with successful runs in London’s West End, Edinburgh, Berlin, Vienna, Hamburg as well as Adelaide Cabaret Festival, Sydney Festival, Adelaide Fringe and many more…BBC and Channel 4 TV specials in UK, Royal Varieties. She also made her mark as a solo performer at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, 606 in London and as a session singer internationally.

Naomi - Reviews:

“As she moved through the crowd singing...

4 men in my row fainted."

The Age, Melbourne

Time Out, London

“Her voice is powerful, beautifully rich and full of character, and girl, she knows what to do with it.”

Joanna Bowen, Australian Stage

"Sheer Joy!...Tackily elegant. Gloriously Talented!”

The Age, Melbourne

“A triumph of fashionable bad taste... two encores and the entire audience on and it's feet and dancing.”

The Stage UK

“It's such a delight to see her work the stage; her confidence, spot on timing and ability to nail slap-stick humour with a straight face and innocent expression are all to be marvelled at” .
