Hugh Monroe and Sigourney

Daring drag chanteuse Sigourney diva-states wherever she drains to traverse. Paid only in drinks and make-up, Siggy’s keyboard abilities have taken her to call centres across the globe where she has been lucky enough to also accompany many an odd singer with her trusty plug in rhythm Casio.

Sigourney met Ms Monroe in what they thought was a darkened steam room on a frisky night only to realize that it was The Albury Hotel beer barrel delivery cellar and have performed together ever since. Starring together in Clap (Formally Handjob) the movie back in 1980’s they shot straight to oblivion and now enjoy You Tube bans.

A man of many hats Hugh has created entertainment in every facet.

Performing professionally for almost 50 years, highlights include lead roles in:

Applause, Hello Dolly, Pageant, Into The Woods, Sweeney Todd, Peter Pan, Paddington Bear, La Cage Aux Follies and his own international casino and touring theatre cabaret shows.

Hugh is fondly remembered for “Simon Townsends’ Wonderworld,” and for being the founder of Expo Oz, Captain Starlight and the “Outrageous Hugh Monroe” who had a variety show on TVS.

Stuart Farrance
