My Musical Life is a playful romp through Ian’s life and career featuring the songs, stories and music that have propelled his life from Barcaldine in  country Queensland to the main stages throughout Australia with a couple of international pit stops at The Royal Shakespeare Theatre and the set of The Godfather 3 in Rome, Italy along the way

Bio: Best known for his leading roles in the hit television series Stingers and Sea Patrol, Ian’s professional musical debut was some 20 years ago in the highly acclaimed Australian production of Cabaret opposite Tina Arena. Roles in They’re Playing Our Song, Oklahoma, The Pajama Game and Guys and Dolls soon followed with the most recent performance being his Helpmann award nominated role of Sam Carmichael in Mamma Mia! The Musical. The Bridges of Madison County production was cut short by covid and Ian is perhaps most proud of creating roles in brand new Australian musicals such as Eureka, Truth, Beauty and a Picture of You and Georgy Girl the Musical.
