A biopic cabaret tribute, Unseen: A Tribute To Marni Nixon takes audiences on a stroll down memory lane, exploring the incredible life and career of singer and actress Marni Nixon. Having dubbed the singing voice of luminaries including Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Rita Moreno and Deborah Kerr, Nixon became one of the most remembered but unknown voices of the golden age of movies. Featuring songs from hit films including West Side Story, My Fair Lady, The King and I and many more, Nixon’s dulcet tones memorialize some of the greatest music theatre tunes of our time. Featuring amazing and skillful Musical Direction from the Master of Keys and acclaimed Australian pianist and composer, John Martin.
This show is endorsed by the late great Marni Nixon herself.

ABOUT MELODY
Melody is a Sydney based singer, actor, musician and writer who has been performing on and off the stage since she was 8 years old. Since graduating from UNSW with degrees in both music performance and theatre studies and winning the Your Theatrics International Cabaret Contest, Melody spent 2014 touring her critically acclaimed show UNSEEN: A Tribute to Marni Nixon to New York and to all the major cabaret festivals in Australia. She was fortunate enough to receive one-on-one coaching from the great Marni Nixon herself, who also attended the show in New York.
Melody has been involved in numerous productions around Sydney both on and off the stage, more notably Packemin’s 2014 production of Annie as ‘Grace Farrell’ and will be appearing as Glinda in Wicked at Glen Street Theatre in December 2017.
In 2015 Melody ventured to New York appearing in the new Australian work Stalker: The Musical as part of the 2015 New York International Fringe Festival and reprised her role for the Australian Premier of Stalker: The Musical in 2018. In 2019 Melody covered the role of Jenny Lind in Storeyboard Entertainments Melbourne run of Barnum: The Circus Musical.
She is currently working on a new show based on the life and loves of Shirley Jones titled Have You Met Miss Jones, and has toured the acclaimed Sinsational Rita & Mae a cabaret about Femme Fatales and Hollywood legends Rita Hayworth and Mae West, co-starring with her sister Lucinda Beck as the screen goddesses.
Melody writes with her mum Jenny Beck (nee Linquist) devising shows about subjects or people they feel a connection with. Growing up, Melody was always fascinated with classic Hollywood films, especially the movie musicals from the Golden Years of Hollywood, and this has influenced her in her career as an actress, writer and singer.
