On the eve of the film “An American In Paris” turning 70 in 2022, Vov Dylan and Glenn Amer have created a new show and new album in celebration of the music of George Gershwin.Featuring songs like: S’Wonderful, How Long Has This Been Going On?, Embraceable You, Summertime, Nice Work, Our Love Is Here To Stay amongst many many others.Vov Dylan and Glenn Amer have been touring and recording together for over 10 years. The Music Of George Gershwin Without Words will be their 8th commercial release together. Their shows are a mix stories, humour, fun facts, friendship and always good music.This will be Vov and Glenn’s first show together at Claire’s Kitchen and will also be the launch of this new album.They will be joined on this occasion by Double Bassist Mark Howard.
Vov Dylan: Australian Violinist VOV DYLAN is one of Australia’s leading Instrumental Entertainment Artists.Nominated for Australian Instrumental Entertainer of the Year in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019, Vov is equally at home on the Concert Stage as well as the Cabaret and Variety Stage. Able to boast countless sold out concerts in Theatres across Australia including a headlining sold out concert at the Sydney Opera House in February 2020!He has released 12 studio albums which have been represented by Fanfare Classics and have global physical and digital distribution.
FUN FACT: Vov Dylan holds the record as the official “World’s Fastest Violinist” having been awarded the title in January 2014 by The Australian Book Of Records.
Glenn Hamer: A unique entertainer, Glenn Amer is the only artist in the history of recordings to have made acoustically recorded cylinders, pianola rolls and compact discs. He was the youngest pianist to ever record pianola rolls, having made his first recordings for the Mastertouch Piano Roll Company when he was 17.Glenn has been working with singers since his first concert at the age of eleven. He cannot remember how many singers he has played for, but for many years was the exclusive accompanist to Rita Hunter CBE and Horst Hoffmann. Glenn’s first love was opera and he has worked as a pianist and conductor with Opera Queensland, Pacific Opera and Opera Australia.In addition to everything above, Glenn is musical director for The Seven Sopranos and their debut album for ABC Classics shot to the top of the charts when it was released.
