Show synopsis:

Ileana is a born and raised Italian professional musical performer. She moved here almost six years ago and recently became an Australian Citizen. Join her on a journey to discover what it means to be an immigrant in a foreign country, to lose all the contacts you had and to rely on the very few people you can meet along the way.

The show talks about the feelings and the emotions of leaving your own country, your own family, establishing yourself in a different place where you don’t even know the language, and what it means to restart from zero.

Bronte is a musical theatre performer who is navigating her way through the ups and downs of “the job”. Join her as she takes you on her journey so far through the industry from audition experiences to dream shows and everything in between.

BIOS:

Ileana Pipitone is an Italian naturalized Australian musical performer, moved to Sydney almost 6 years ago. She graduated with merit from the Bernstein School of Musical Theatre in Bologna in 2015, and right after that she took part into various Italian professional musical productions, such as Titanic (Alice Bean), Freckleface Strawberry (Strawberry), Spring Awakening (Weldla), Bye Bye Birdie (Ursula), and Into the Woods (Rapunzel).

After having moved to Sydney she took her chances in becoming a musical theatre performer in Australia as well, joining as lead role in various community theatre shows, such as Songs for a New World (Amy), Jesus Christ Superstar (Mary Magdalene), and in the professional production of Company by the Limelight on Oxford in 2018 (April). From 2022 she returned on stage with Company (Marta),The Addams Family (Grandmama) and, in November she will be the lead in Into The Woods (Witch). She is studying musical theatre and performing arts in various courses and workshops, perfecting and elevating her craft, and progressing in her technique.

Bronte is a passionate and dedicated Singer, Actor and Dancer who over the past 5 years, since entering the industry, has studied at many highly regarded institutions in Sydney. These include: The Academy of Music and Performing Arts where she obtained a Bachelor of Music (Performance) Majoring in Musical Theatre, Theatre Bridge with Nathan M.Wright and Andrew Bevis, Screenwise Film and TV School for Actors and Anthony Meindl's Acting Workshops (AMAW). Her most recent leading role in a Musical is Cinderella in “Into The Woods” which will be staged later this year. Previously she has played Ariel Moore in “Footloose”, Jane Fairfax in “Emma” and Kathy Selden in “Singin’ In The Rain” to name a few. Bronte also has a love for screen acting, debuting as a lead in an array of Feature and Short films from both independent film companies as well as highly regarded film schools in Sydney such as AFTT and AFTRS. With her talents as a Singer she has also released her own Pop Single “I Love The Way” with Spotify as well as contributing vocals on TV programs such as “My Greek Odyssey” on Seven Network. Overall Bronte is extremely excited for her next project in the industry.
