Facing the challenges of similar voice types, being up for the same roles, and an ever changing standard to live up to, the two find themselves faced with the question: “what have I missed about who I am during the constant pursuit to be the best version of someone else”. When friendship and success are tossed in the ring together, which one will prevail, and can these two friends find a way to prosper amongst an industry that seems to be rooting against them.
BIO: Alex Bozanic
Alex (he/him) is a 20 year old music theatre performer currently studying a Bachelor of Music (Performance) - Music Theatre at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. He recently debuted at The Hayes Theatre in the role of Mr Lindquist in their critically acclaimed production of A little Night Music. Other notable roles of his past include: Combferre & Enjolras Understudy - Les Miserables (Packemin Productions), Pirate King - Pirates of Penzance (SCM), Paul - The Theory of Relativity (SCM), Konstantin - The Seagull and Drew - Rock of Ages. Alex is also frequently contracted as a vocalist for many concerts and independent cabaret’s across NSW - one of which (Encore NSW 2023) saw him performing at the Sydney Opera House. Along with performing Alex is also a jazz/ contemporary pianist and often finds himself in the accompanist chair of a variety of gigs.
BIO: Felix Staas
Currently studying a Bachelor of Music (Performance) majoring in Music Theatre at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Felix (he/him) is a 20-year-old budding performer who has a passion for the stage. Recent stage credits include Ryan in The Theory of Relativity (SCM 2023), Featured Soloist in The Voices Concert (Neil Gooding Productions 2023), Ensemble & Male Swing in Les Misérables (Packemin Productions 2023), Edward Bloom in Big Fish (SYMT 2023), Ensemble and u/s Baker & Rapunzel’s Prince in Into The Woods (SYMT 2022), Sam Carmichael in Mamma Mia! (PLC 2022), Featured Ensemble in The Addams Family (SYMT 2022), Goodman “Goody” King in Fame (PLC 2020), and Carlos & Ensemble in Legally Blonde (BCD 2019). Alongside his Music Theatre pursuits on the stage, Felix also has experience in a musical’s band playing electric and acoustic guitar.
