Lorena celebrates the music of the legendary Édith Piaf, showcasing her most stirring songs of love, loss and resilience from the Golden Age of La Chanson Française.  Expressive and passionate, Melbourne chanteuse and French speaker Lorena Stipani, brings La Môme Piaf’s melodies to life and will transport you to the streets of Paris on this memorable journey of song and storytelling. Vocally powerful and abundant in emotional depth, a hallmark of La Chanson Française, you will hear Piaf’s most popular songs that will tug at the heart and have you singing along to each Padam Padam!

BIO LORENA STIPANI:

Classically trained Lorena has been the recipient of numerous vocal scholarships and awards and has sung in opera, recitals and concerts in Europe and Australia. While residing in London for several years, she attended the National Opera Studio and studied with Yvonne Kenny. Her foray into cabaret has seen her create shows that showcase her passion for La Chanson Française and other music. Her Piaf show is much sought after since it premiered last year and other shows include: Simply Streisand & Minnelli, The Great French Songbook & I Got Rhythm – songs from the Great American Songbook.

BIO LINDA O’BRIEN:

Linda has two degrees from the University of Melbourne; one in French and the other in piano performance. She lived in Montpellier for 5 years, studying jazz piano and playing French songs in piano bars & restaurants in the evenings. Having spent more than a decade as the pianist for the Australian Pops Orchestra, Linda is now a fulltime freelance piano accompanist who particularly enjoys performing with singers, choirs, and string players. She has toured Australia extensively with Morning Melody shows and has also released two solo CD’s.
