Michael returns to Claire's Kitchen by popular demand.

After 45 years treading the boards, he has more than a few stories to tell.

Before stepping on a plane to Melbourne to play Georges in ‘La Cage Aux Folles’ opposite next month’s Sunday Legend Paul Capsis, Michael takes a Sunday moment to celebratethe music of his favourite composers in his own unique style with the incredible talents of Michael Tyack on piano.

BIO

Michael Cormick is an internationally renowned singer and actor with a diverse career throughout Australia, the United Kingdom and Europe.

In 2021 Michael toured with his solo show FEELIN”GOOD, and YOU AND I with Rachael Beck. He also performed in Concerts with Marina Prior and Silvie Paladino, and Created his own Production THE BYRON SUPPER CLUB in Byron Bay.

Michael’s earlier Theatrical Highlights in Australian include: Beauty and the Beast(The Beast) - for which he won an Australian MO Award, Cats (Munkustrap), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat (Pharoah), Grease (Kenickie), Sunset Boulevard (Joe Gillis), End of The Rainbow (Micky Deans), The Rocky Horror Show (Eddie/Dr. Scott), Mamma Mia! (Sam), Annie(Daddy Warbucks) Next to Normal (Dr Madden), Blood Brothers (The Narrator),Folcettos (Wizza) Eureka (commissioner Grey) Into the Woods (Rapunzels Prince) Nine (Guido Contini), Cabaret (Ernst Ludwig), Jesus Christ Superstar (Pontius Pilate), The Pirates of Penzance (The Pirate King) and The Phantom of The Opera (Phantom).

Michael has also performed in concert throughout Europe, including Rome, Paris, Edinburgh, Barute, and Cyprus and e had the Incredible opportunity to Sing with Freddie Mercury and Cliff Richard.

His Television Credits Include

Doctor Blake Murder Mysteries, Reef Doctors,Sea Patrol,City Homicide, Prisoner, Superwog and Bluebird.

As a Vocalist Michael appeared as a Regular on many Variety Shows including

The Don Lane Show, Bert Newton Show, Mike Walsh Show, Hey Hey It’s Saturday, and The Terry Wogan Show.

Michael has also featured at many special events such as the Melbourne Cup, the Australian Football League Grand Final,The Rugby Grand Final the official opening of Stadium Australia and, in London, the opening of the Christmas Festival at Royal Albert Hall and had the Honour of Performing for Her Majesty the Queen at Royal Command performances of The Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables.
