Declan is an international theatre star whose career has taken him all around the world. He has toured the UK and the US in hit musicals, as Elder Price in The Book of Mormon and the lead role of Bob Gaudio in Jersey Boys on the West End. He has performed his own cabarets at the prestigious 'Crazy Coqs' and 'The Other Palace' in London and is thrilled to make his Australian cabaret debut at Claire’s Kitchen. Join Declan for a night of showtunes as he brings his tongue-in-cheek humour to the stage for the best one night stand you’ll have on Oxford st. ! Bio:  Heralding from Newcastle, Declan showed a love and passion for the arts from a very young age. Always singing and acting his family knew he was destined for a life on the stage. After attending the Hunter School Of Performing Arts he was accepted into NIDA at age 18 to study musical theatre. In his first year out of NIDA he scored the role of a lifetime playing Bob Gaudio in Jersey Boys at the Theatre Royal in Sydney and continued on with the Australian and NZ tour. After finishing this show Declan moved to London to chase his musical theatre dreams. Little did he know that within a few months after auditioning for The Book of Mormon there he would be flown over to the US to join the US tour as the standby for the lead role of Elder Price. After returning from the United States Declan made his West End debut by reprising his role of Bob Gaudio once again on the West End. Declan performed his own cabaret ‘An Evening with Declan Egan’ at Crazy Coqs and also joined the New Year New Favourites season at Andrew Lloyd Webber’s venue The Other Palace to perform his cabaret. Declan is so pleased to be back home and performing where it all began.
